Dear friends! Happy Women’s History Month!
We are so excited for this great opportunity to pay tribute to some amazing and inspiring women! As you can see, we have started our tribute with the accomplished pilot of the early 20th century, Ms. Amelia Earhart. Amelia Earhart is an inpiration to us because she followed her dreams and did not back down in the face of fear or great challenge.
Her tragic disappearance is so sad to us, but she was living her truth and following her path with her eyes wide open. In this passage from a letter to her husband before her final flight, (an attempt to fly around the world) you can hear her truth: “Please know I am quite aware of the hazards,” she said. “I want to do it because I want to do it. Women must try to do things as men have tried. When they fail, their failure must be but a challenge to others.”
Throughout her brave flying career, Ms. Earhart set many records and “firsts.” She was the first woman to fly the across the Atlantic Ocean and also The first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
She was the first person to fly from the Red Sea to India.
Ms. Earhart felt her solo flight over the Atlantic Ocean proved that men and women were equal in “jobs requiring intelligence, coordination, speed, coolness and willpower.” To read more about this inspiring and strong woman please click on this link and go to Amelia’s Official Website.
We hope that Ms. Earhart fills your heart with the hope and the courage to follow your dreams.
Weather you heart’s desire is to set new world records or to play with a new doggie toy or to find a new position to snuggle with your family; May you live the life your heart longs for.
